History: Formed at Pembroke Dock in August 1918.

Origin/meaning
The Panther is known for its speed and power to kill at Night. It is chosen to symbolise the Squadron's Role as a Night Fighter Unit. The Motto translates as ”To the break of dawn”. The Badge was approved in October 1942.
