Escudo de Navès (Lleida)/Arms (crest) of Navès (Lleida)
Official blazon
Catalan Escut caironat: d'argent, un castell de gules obert superat d'un drac de sinople lampassat de gules. Per timbre una corona mural de poble.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 18, 1991.

The arms show the castle of Navès (10th century), that belonged to the monastery of Solsona. The dragon above is the attribute of St. Margaret, the local patron saint (traditions say that Margaret was eaten by a dragon, and she opened it's belly from inside using her cross and being "reborn").
