Official blazon

Shoulder Sleeve Insignia. Description: An embroidered device consisting of a yellow circular shape 3 inches (7.62 cm) in diameter edged with a 1/8 inch (.32 cm) black border displaying the head of a Titan wearing a combat helmet in black, white and yellow. Arched above the Titan, the inscription “GOLDEN GATE” in black letters. Arched below the warrior, the inscription “TITANS” in black letters.

Shoulder Loop Insignia. Description: A Gold color metal and enamel shield shaped device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Or, on a chevron Sable a chevronel potent of the first, in chief a key ward to sinister and in base a lamp flamant of the second. Attached below the shield, a Black scroll inscribed “RESPECT” in base metal letters.

Origin/meaning

Shoulder Shoulder Insignia: Black and gold are the school’s colors. The Titan is the school’s mascot.

Shoulder Loop Insignia: Black and gold are the school’s colors. The Titan is the school’s mascot. The lamp represents scholarly achievement and knowledge. The key alludes to the guardianship of wisdom and education. The Greek key design is symbolic of courage, vigilance and honor.

The Shoulder Sleeve Insignia and the Shoulder Loop Insignia was approved on 9 March 2006.
