Origin/meaning

The pins in the chief refer to the treasure of Villethierry a Bronze Age deposit found near the village. This exceptional collection of jewelry, which includes 869 objects including pins, fibulas, bracelets, rings and tweezers, is kept at the Sens museum.

The wolf is a canting symbol for Saint-Loup (loup=wolf), patron saint of the local church. The chevron is forming a V, the initial of the village.
