Un scut triunghiular albastru cu marginile rotunjite, încărcat cu un bust de bărbat cu barbă, căciulă dacică de tarabostes și îmbrăcat în tunică, peste care este aruncată o mantie drapată în falduri și prinsă pe cei doi umeri cu câte o fibulă, totul de argint. Scutul este timbrat de o coroană murală de argint cu un turn crenelat, deasupra căruia se află, ca cimier, stindardul dacic de argint (cap de lup și trup de șarpe cu solzi), orientat spre stânga.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on August 19, 2015.

The male bust represents Decebalus, the last Dacian king, as represented on Trajan's Column.

The Dacian banner emphasizes the fact that Sarmizegetusa Regia, the capital of the Dacian state, was located in Grădiștea de Munte, on the current territory of the locality.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
