Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on September 14, 1993.

The castle symbolises the first building which gave shelter and protection to the pioneer settlers in the region. The feathers symbolise the renowned writer Euclides da Cinha, after whom the town is named. The axes symbolise the first settlers and the lumber industry.

The shield is flanked by cotton and corn, the main crops in the region.
The motto means 'I enlighten'.
