Official blazon
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on January 26, 1971.

The bends and the peacock are taken from the arms of the Counts of Wied, as the area belonged to the county Wied. The liniden tree is taken from the arms of Pudersbach and the four diamonds refer to the four villages in the municipality. They were also part of the arms of the Walpoden von der Neuerburg family, which had possessions in the area.
