Stema Ciurea

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on June 4, 2014.

The bell symbolizes the Hlincea Monastery, declared in 2004 a historical monument; this monastery is typical due to the bell tower, dating from the seventeenth century.

The wavy bart represents the rivers Frumoasa, Loci, Juvăț, Tinoasa and Nicolina, which cross the locality.

The uprooted tree, held by one arm, refers to the colonization of Serbs in the area, which led to the formation of the locality.

The mural crown with a crenellated tower means that the locality has the rank of commune.
