62ND MEDICAL SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted as 62 Station Medical Group on 23 Jun 1948. Activated on 22 Aug 1948. Redesignated as 62 Medical Group on 1 Apr 1949. Inactivated on 1 Jun 1950. Activated on 1 Apr 1952. Redesignated as: 62 Tactical Infirmary on 16 Feb 1954; 62 Tactical Hospital on 18 Aug 1956. Discontinued, and inactivated, on 8 Jun 1962. Consolidated (1 Dec 1991) with the USAF Dispensary, McChord, which was constituted on 7 Oct 1970. Activated on 13 Oct 1970. Redesignated as: USAF Clinic, McChord on 1 Sep 1972; 62 Medical Group on 1 Dec 1991; 62 Medical Squadron on 1 Oct 1993; 62 Medical Group on 1 Oct 1994; 62 Medical Squadron 20 Jun 2008.
