Redesignated as: 4 Fighter Squadron, All Weather, on 10 Aug 1948; 4 Fighter-All Weather Squadron on 20 Jan 1950; 4 Fighter-Interceptor Squadron on 25 Apr 1951; 4 Tactical Fighter Squadron on 20 Jun 1965; 4 Fighter Squadron on 1 Nov 1991.
