315TH SECURITY FORCES SQUADRON, US AIR FORCE

History: Constituted as 315 Air Police Squadron on 23 May 1952. Activated on 10 Jun 1952. Inactivated on 18 Jan 1955. Redesignated as 315 Security Police Squadron on 22 Jul 1971. Activated on 31 Jul 1971. Inactivated on 31 Mar 1972. Consolidated (1 Aug 1988) with the 315 Weapons System Security Flight, which was constituted on 18 Jun 1976. Activated in the Reserve on 1 Jul 1976. Redesignated as: 315 Security Police Flight on 15 Aug 1988; 315 Security Police Squadron on 1 Oct 1992; 315 Security Forces Squadron on 1 Jul 1997.
