Reconstituted, and consolidated (1924) with 15 Squadron (Observation) which was authorized on 30 Aug 1921, organized on 21 Sep 1921, and redesignated as 15 Observation Squadron on 25 Jan 1923. Inactivated on 1 Aug 1927. Activated on 15 May 1928. Redesignated as: 15 Observation Squadron (Medium) on 13 Jan 1942; 15 Observation Squadron on 4 Jul 1942; 15 Reconnaissance Squadron (Fighter) on 2 Apr 1943; 15 Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron on 11 Aug 1943. Inactivated on 31 Mar 1946. Activated on 3 Dec 1947. Inactivated on 1 Apr 1949. Redesignated as 15 Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron, Photo-Jet, on 5 Feb 1951. Activated on 25 Feb 1951. Redesignated as 15 Tactical Reconnaissance Squadron on 8 Oct 1966. Inactivated on 1 Oct 1990. Redesignated as 15 Tactical Intelligence Squadron on 20 Feb 1991. Activated on 15 Mar 1991. Redesignated as 15 Air Intelligence Squadron on 13 Apr 1992. Inactivated on 1 Jun 1994. Redesignated as 15 Reconnaissance Squadron on 31 Jul 1997. Activated on 1 Aug 1997. Redesignated as 15 Attack Squadron on 15 May 2016.
