Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on March 20, 1996.

The oak tree in the left half of the arms symbolises the Kaisereiche, an old tree in the centre of the municipality. The upper right quarter shows a beer vessel, and is a symbol for a long struggle for brewery rights in the middle ages. The division in the right half symbolises the Roda river. The millstone symbolises the (former) mill in the municipality.
