Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted in the 1990s (?) and show the local church tower, the typical landmark of the village. The linden leaf symbolises the ancient linden tree in the village. The wall is a reminder of the former village walls, which can still partly be seen. The wheel is the wheel of the city of Erfurt and indicates that the village historically belonged to Erfurt.
