WIEN-JEDLESEE

State : Wien (Vienna)

Wappen von Wien-Jedlesee

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The name Jedlesee denotes a pond or small lake (-see), which was originally named after a person called "Uci". The arms show Our Lady bearing her Son; a statue of the pattern of Loreto is at the church of Jedlesee, which is also a place of pilgrimage.

Jedlesee is now part of the 21st municipal district, Floridsdorf.
