Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on April 17, 1972.

The arms show the castle in Homburg, as both towns belonged to the Lordship Homburg, a possession of the Counts of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg. The left tower of the castle has been changed to make space for the cross of the Knights of St. John (Maltese cross), who had an estate in the municipality.
