Origin/meaning :
The arms were granted to the town of Weiz by Emperor Ferdinand I on February 4th, 1560.

The Image is the Tabor-Church of St. Thomas of Caterbury in Weiz, which was reconstructed to a fortress-church against the Turks in that time.
