VOSSELAAR

Province : Antwerpen

Wapen van Vosselaar/Coat of arms (crest) of Vosselaar

Official blazon

Dwarsbalksgewijze verdeeld in drieën van lazuur, van zilver en van lazuur, het zilver beladen met een gaande aanziende vos van natuurlijke kleur.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 18, 1990.

The arms were newly devised in 1990 and are canting, showing a vos (fox). The colours are those of the Land van Turnhout region, to which the village historically belonged.

The 18th century seals of the village all show St. Mary with child on a throne.
