Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 24, 1930.

The upper half shows the arms of Tirol. The lower refers to the legend of the founding of the St. Georgenberg monastery in the village. Pigeons showed Ratold von Aibling where he should establish the church and monastery.
