Official blazon

Escudo medio partido y cortado. 1º, la cruz de los Ángeles de la Archidiócesis de Oviedo. 2º, un castillo flanqueado por dos espigas, del que sale un águila negra surmontada del cuerno de la abundancia, señal del concejo de Castropol. 3º, de azur, una banda jaquelada de plata y gules, acompañada de un brazo vestido moviente del flanco diestro soteniendo un báculo de oro y acompañado de dos flores de lis de oro, y en campaña, una cruz flordelisada de gules y una mitra de oro. Al timbre la corona real, abierta.
