VILLALBA

Territory : Puerto Rico

Arms of Villalba (Puerto Rico)

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms show a small village in which the church is adorned with the arms of the order of "del Carmelo"; and in the upper right hand, a silver star. The gold border shows five calabash (higüera, Crescentia cujete L.) leaves. The shield of the order del Carmelo refers to our Señora del Carmen, matron of the village. The border recalls the founder, don José Ramón Figueroa.
