Origin/meaning
The arms were granted on March 22, 1985.
The village historically was under the jurisdiction of the Gossersweiler court. The small crosses are taken from the seal of this court (see Gossersweiler). The crosses also refer to the State of Speyer to which part of the municipality belonged until the end of the 18th century.
The local church, a typical landmark, is shown in the base. The leaf, wheat-ear and small mountain refer to the forests, agriculture and the local hills. The green colour stands for the nature.
