VÅLER

Province : Hedmark

Arms of Våler (Hedmark)

Official blazon

I rødt en nedvendt vinget gull pil.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 7, 1987.

The arms show a winged arrow. The arms are based on the story that the Norwegian King, Saint Olav, christened the area in 1022. He shot an arrow and decided to built a church where the arrow hit the ground.
