Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on August 10, 1965.

The arms show in the upper part the arms of the Benedictine monastery in Scheyern, which in turn is taken from the arms of the Scheyern-Wittelsbach family who founded the monastery. The monastery owned much of the area in the municipality since the 13th century. The lower part represents the part of the municipality named Lohhof. The leaves are a canting symbol for this part (Loh =leaf).

Literature : Stadler, 1964-1971, 8 volumes.
