  • (1972) In gold ein rotbewehrter und -bezungter schwarzer Löwe, begleitet rechts von drei, links von zwei sechsstrahligen blauen Sternen; linksoben ein abnehmender blauer Mond.
  • (?) Im Schildhaupt in Blau rechts ein abnehmender goldener (gelber) Mond, links ein sechsstrahliger goldener (gelber) Stern, darunter in Gold (Gelb) ein steigender rotbewehrter und bezungter schwarzer Löwe.

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on December 11, 1972.

The arms are those of the former Amt Titz.
The arms show the lion of the Dukes of Jülich, who ruled the area for many centuries. The stars represent the former municipalities, whereas the moon is taken from the old arms of Titz.
