Origin/meaning

The arms were adopted on December 18, 1997.

The arms show a key, taken from the arms of the medieval Lords of Til-Châtel, known from the late 13th century. The meaning of the key is not known, but it has been interpreted to symbolise the fact that the village was on the border between the Champagne and Bourgogne regions.
