The arms were officially adopted on October 19, 2009.  
The arms were officially adopted on October 19, 2009.  


Thorsby has many inhabitants of Swedish origin and the arms were designed by the Swedish Heraldry Association. The T is derived from the hammer of Thor, the Germanic god after which the town is named (see also [[Th&oacute;rshavn]]). The hammer is shpaed more like a T, as the town's initial. The peaches are a major local crop. The colours are the Swedish colours.
