Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 21, 2005.
The capitals refer to Taujėnai palace and church, both of late classicism style. The black stork refers to rare black storks (Ciconia nigra) living in the environment, and its fight with a snake symbolizes good defeating evil.
