Origin/meaning

The arms were granted in 2008.

The mountain symbolises the Inselsberg in the municipality. The antenna symbolises the large antenna on top of the mountain.

The pine trees refer to the local forests, but are also canting for the name, which is derived from a word for 'passage in a pine forest'.

The heart indicates that the village is in Thüringen, the green heart of Germany. The green also refers to the forests and nature.
