Origin/meaning

The arms were registered on May 31, 2005.

The five flowers on the right half symbolise the five villages in the municipality, Třemešné, Pavlíkov, Dubec, Bezděkov and Nová Ves. The flowers are bird cherry flowers (Prunus padus), which growns on the banks of the Bezděkovská river, which in turn is symbolised by the blue colour. The colours of theleft half, silver and red, are the colours of the Lords of Hostouň, who ruled the village of Pavlikov for a long time.

The silver hallbards are typical arms of the Chodové people, which settled in the region in the 14th century, especially in the villages of Nová Ves and Třemešné. The oak tree is a canting symbol for the village of Dubec (Dub is oak).
