Wappen von Sterup/Arms (crest) of Sterup
Official blazon
German In Grün ein schräglinker silberner Wellenbalken. Im goldenen Schildfuß der schwarze Steruper Allmanns-Schleef.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were granted on October 24, 1977.

The upper half shows the Lippinger Au river and the green fields of the municipality, especially the Maiental.
The base shows a type of local special spoon with a small bell. This spoon, the Allmanns-Schleef, is used during the local Allmannsfest festivities. It was historically used for collecting money during the festivities, which were held when the council of free farmers of the region convened in the village.
