Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on July 10, 1954.

The upper half shows St. Stephanus, the local patron saint with book and stones. The lower half shows a type of small boat (Nachen), which was used for fishing and sailing on the Inn river. The green colour was chosen to emphasise the historically agricultural character of the municipality.
