STEINEBACH/SIEG

State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Altenkirchen
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Gebhardshain

Steinebach.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The village was for many centuries depending on mining for its economy. Hence the mine entrance, miner's tolls and the lamp. The wheatear symbolises the more recent importance of agriculture for the village. The colours are derived from the arms of the Lords of Gebhardshain and the Counts of Sayn-Altenkirchen, who both had many possessions in the area.
