Origin/meaningThe arms were officially granted on October 6, 1982. The two blue wavy bends refer to the Starzel and Eyach rivers in the municipality. The 5 roses symbolise the five former municipalities that merged to the Starzach municipality. The roses are taken from the old arms of Bierlingen and Sulzau.
