Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on May 11, 1987.

The sun and the mountain are canting, the name means sun-mountain. The coins refer to the local legend in which the devil has buried a treasure of silver. They also refer to the four villages in the municipality; Albertsschlag, Dreieegg, Rudersbach and Sonnberg.
