Origin/meaning
The arms were officially adopted in 1995.
The red and gold are taken from the arms of the Faucigny region. The eagle head refers to the alpine fauna, with the eagle as it symbol. The wavy bare refers to the Giffre river and the base refers to the (former) Sixt Abbey.
