SINN

State : Hessen
District (Kreis) : Lahn-Dill Kreis (until 1975 Dillkreis)
Additions : 1977 Edingen, Fleisbach

Wappen von Sinn

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

The arms were designed and granted in 1959.

The quartered field is derived from the arms of the medieval Lords of Sinn, who originated from Frankfurt. The wavy bend symbolises the Dill river. The two other symbols are cauldrons used in the iron industry in the town.
