Official blazon

In Silber ein breiter schwarzer Schrägbalken, belegt mit einer eingekerbten von Silber und Rot gevierten Fahne an goldener Lanze, begleitet von je drei auf die Spitze gestellten roten Quadraten.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on October 22, 1983.

The banner is taken from the old arms of Stadtschwarzach. The black bend is a canting element (schwarz=black), the six diamonds refer to the six former municipalities.
