Official blazon
Origin/meaning
The oak tree has been used on the local seals since 1643. Behind the tree are two miner's tools, symbolising the mining in the area. Below the tools is a tool, most likely a type of axe, which was used for clearing the forests. The two small plants are most likely heath plants.
