SAVSKI VENAC (Савски Венац)

Part of : Belgrade

Savskive.jpg

Official blazon

Origin/meaning

Savski Venac means Wreath of the Sava. The wavy bar symbolises the Sava river, the three hills the Dedinje, Topcider and Kosutnjak in the borough. The double-headed eagle and Crown symbolise that this territory is traditionally residence of the Head of State (both Royal Palace and White Palace are there), while the wreath alludes to borough's name. The banners are those of Beograd and the borough.
