Origin/meaning

The red bend on gold refers to the arms of the Lorraine region, in which the aleurions are replaced by three mushrooms. The mushrooms symbolise the local forests. The water mill wheel refers to the former water mills in the area.

On the Monday of Pentecost, the inhabitants of Saulxures were obliged to go in procession to Remiremont, carrying branches of willow, which is symbolised by the branch of willow.

The chief refers to the granite soil of the municipality.
