  • (fr) D'azur à douze étoiles d'or ordonnées en cercle et enfermant une lampe de mineur brochant sur deux pics passés en sautoir et accostée de deux épis de blés posés en chevron renversé, le tout du même; à la bordure componée de gueules et d'argent.

Origin/meaning

The lamp and the ears of wheat represent the half-industrial and half-rural municipality that is Sanvignes.

The twelve stars are a reminder of Europe. The crown symbolizes the castle that was at the top of the local hill, which is now destroyed. The bordure is that of Burgundy.
