ROBEN

State : Thüringen
Urban District (Stadtkreis) : Gera
Incorporated into : 1994 Gera

Wappen von Roben/Arms (crest) of Roben
Official blazon
German blazon wanted
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted on March 3, 1994.

The blue lion is taken from the arms of the Counts of Solms, as one of the branches of this family, the counts of Solm-Tecklenburg, resided in the village. The three hearts are taken from the arms of Tecklenburg. The hearts each also symbolise one of the villages in the municipality. The silver goose is the symbol of the local patron saint, St. Martin.
