Origin/meaning
The arms are granted on July 20, 1966.
The arms show a grouse, a typical bird for the higher areas. The golden square is a common symbol for the four villages around the Nonsberg mountain (Laurein, Proveis, Sankt Felix and Unsere Liebe Frau im Walde).
