Badge: Argent the coronet of Her Royal Highness Princess Patricia enfiled by her cypher Or all within an annulus Gules edged and inscribed PRINCESS PATRICIA’S CANADIAN LIGHT INFANTRY in letters Or the whole ensigned by the Royal Crown proper.

Origin/meaning

The crown represents service to the Sovereign. The cypher and coronet are those of H.R.H. Princess Patricia, the granddaughter of Queen Victoria, who granted the regiment the right to bear her name. “PRINCESS PATRICIA’S CANADIAN LIGHT INFANTRY” is the regimental title.

The Blazon of the Badge was confirmed by the Canadian Heraldic Authority on February 15, 2008. Unfortunately we have no information on the meaning or origin of these arms yet.
