Origin/meaning

The arms were officially adopted on June 8, 2012.

The upper part shows the symbols of St. Peter and St. Paul, the local patron saints.

The merles are taken from the arms of the De Chancy family, who owned the strong castle in the village, which burned down in the 17th century. The tower in the base symbolises this castle.
