Origin/meaning

The arms show in the upper half the cross of the Languedoc region, and a unicorn as a symbol for the local patron saint, St. Mary.

The sabres in the lower half stand for Pierre de Bellecombe, a famous soldier who was born in the village. The garb refers to agriculture.
