NUSSBACH
State : Rheinland-Pfalz
District (Kreis) : Kusel
Verbandsgemeinde : Verbandsgemeinde Lauterecken-Wolfstein (until 2014 Verbandsgemeinde Wolfstein)
Official blazon
- (de) Durch einen silbernen Schräglinkswellenbalken von Rot und Grün geteilt, oben rechts ein goldener Glockenturm, unten links ein goldener Haselnußzweig mit zwei Haselnüssen und einem Blatt.
Origin/meaning
The arms were officially granted on March 23, 1985.
The name of the village means nut-stream, which is symbolised by the wavy bend and the hazelnut branch, even though historically maybe a walnut was meant. The tower is the local bell tower.
The colours are those of the Lords of Reipoltskirchen, to whom the village historically belonged.
