NORDHEIM

State : Baden-Württemberg
District (Kreis) : Heilbronn
Additions : 1975 Nordhausen

Wappen von Nordheim (Württemberg)

Official blazon

In Gold eine gestürzte blaue Pflugschar.

Origin/meaning

The arms were officially granted in 1963.

Nordheim received its first seal probably in 1495. The shield showed the plough iron with in the chief a deer antler. The iron is most likely an older village symbol, the antler is derived from the arms of Württemberg. In a later seal, from 1724, the antler is now placed above the shield. The antler was later removed completely and in 1935 the colours were adopted.
