Official blazon
German In Gold unter einer rechtshin liegenden schwarzen Hirschstange zwei schräggekreuzte schwarze Schlüssel, drunter ein sechsstrahliger schwarzer Stern.
English blazon wanted

Origin/meaning

The arms were never officially granted, but in 1962 the city approved the arms for the old village. The two crossed keys are first mentioned in 1865 as a symbol for the village, but in 1903 it was mentioned that the local church bell from 1695 already showed the keys. In 1903, however, the bell was already destroyed. Before the village used the letter G as its village sign on border posts.

The star and antler were first used on the local seal from 1903. The keys are the symbol of St. Peter, the local patron saint. The deer antler is taken from the arms of Württemberg, to which the village belonged. The star has no special meaning.

As no colours were known, it was decided in 1962 to use the colours of Württemberg.
